Okay, yes there are parts of the city which are run down, but this is a comon factor in almost every UK city. The silly claim that "you will see more fights in Liverpool city centre than anywhere else in the UK" is utter nonsense. I am a student in the city and in my experience the Liverpool city centre is as safe as any other city centre. if you visit London, Manchester, Leeds etc you will have just as much chance as seeing a fight there. As a student I have a good social life and haven't actually come across any violence of any kind, I have lived here for 5 years. Also the comment that "the women are naturally pretty" shows that Robert's quote is quite silly - come on, seriously the city in which you were born cannot make you naturally pretty can it? Yes there are some naturally pretty girls, like there are naturally pretty girls in every town and city. Some people wear fake tan but most dont, yes many of the women dye their hair, just like many women everywhere dye their hair. what on earth does fake tan and hair dye have to do with wanting to visit a city???? nothing!!!

Liverpool has something to offer almost everyone whether it be the fantastic high street shopping, the World class football, the world famous Grand national Steeple chase, the musical heritage or the amzing architecture - Liverpool boasts more listed buildings than any English city outside of London, has more galleries than any city outside of London, has more georgian buildings than bath, has 2 monumental cathedrals at either end of a street named Hope. Part Liverpool city centre is a UNESCO world heritage site, this means that it is in the same ranking as the Pyramids of Egypt or the canals of Venice - yes you may think this is crazy but if you look into the history of the city you will find out about it's national and global importance as a port and you may then begin to appreciate the role that Liverpool once played. Liverpool is definately worth a visit, take my word for it.
