I am not a Liverpudlian, but i can say without hesitation that Liverpool is the greatest city in the world. It has given so many great things to the world. It's people are warm and friendly, it's history is rich and colourful, its achievements are numorous, it's buildings are beautiful, the charisma of Liverpool isn't matched by any other city in the world.

I love Liverpool, and wish I had never left it. I know it has changed, but Liverpool and its people will always be scousers, and the best in the world.

I live in Liverpool and, well, I have to say it's really not that good to be honest. There are lots of people who mug and steal and there are lots of drunk people occasionally. I wouldn't recommend Liverpool to anyone...unless you fancied a decent drink!!

Louise thats a ridiculous thing to say. Out of the five largest cities in England Liverpool has the lowest crime rate. You get muggers and thieves in every big city. If you would only recommend Liverpool to go for a drink in you must be stupid, it has more museums and art galleries than any other city in the UK outside London. Liverpool's nightlife is great but its culture, history and heritage is by far what makes the city world famous today.

I visit Liverpool quite a lot and I love the place! The buildings are superb and the people are wonderful. Well worth spending some time there if you've never been.

Liverpool has bags of unrealised potential. Unfortunately it has suffered from a lack of well-thought-out investment and bad planning. It also suffers hugely from a lack of civic pride. Litter and discarded chewing gum are evident eye-sores.

Please come to Liverpool. Its great for a weekend away. You dont have to stay in city hotels because there are great (cheaper) ones on the outskirts. And the local bus and train services are brill. Theres lots to see and do, ferry across the mersey, museums, shops,great restaurants, albert dock, pubs, clubs. And thats just in the city centre!. I have lived here all my life and you'll get a friendly welcome.

Liverpool is one of the most delightful cities in England. The city is cultured, as are the people. I admire the sophistication yet homeliness you are sure to find when visiting. I have been to many places and find Liverpool to have polite well mannered people. Unlike the people I would be sure to find living either side of "Danny" on the home page. Whose narrow minded view (if it could be classed as a valid opinion) would be changed if he would in fact use the money provided by myself an other tax payers, get a trin ticket, view some culture and open his eyes!

Liverpool marks her own people and they are the warmest you will find anywhere in the world. The city is beautiful. There is nowhere quite like it and finally after years of unfair stereotyping it is back on the rise. Watch this space. The people with criticism of the city are largely the people who have never visited. See it for yourself.It has the same problems as any other large city, but its the safest in the country, has the warmest welcome, the finest architecture, the most colourful history, the most listed buildings outside london, the most museums and galleries. The list goes on and on.Its an incredible place and I'm thrilled to see witness its renaissance. Go and see it for yourself.

I was born in liverpool and i am probably not alone when i say alot of people dont appreciate the beatiful areas and buildings and all round stature of the city because they focus too much on the bad places, however with the cash injection from the capital of culture success i cant wait to see this magnificent city grow and grow

Liverpool is one of the most beautiful cities I have visited in the UK and the people are absolutely wonderful and so friendly! I was here for almost a month and was lucky enough to be there for the beatles festival when the city really comes to life. Highly recommend a visit to this place.

I was born in Liverpool but moved away when I was young. I still visit it regularly and recommed it to anyone for a weekend break or more. The shops are unique and the staff are actually helpful! There is so much to see and do there and the people are the nicest you could ever hope to meet. Go for the night and I guarantee you will leave with many new friends (for life!). The pictures are lovely but don't do it justice or capture it's true atmosphere.

I love liverpool, lived there for about 3 years, yet every summer when I go back there it amazes me more, and I was very happy when it got european city of culture, I was ver proud! what they are doing with the city center is just so fullfilling. Its my favorite city in the world,its hard to explain.. I jst love it!!

I live in Liverpool and always feel a sense of pride walking around the city centre, I love talking to visitors and pointing them out to different locations of interest, St Georges Hall always takes my breath away.

Was born in a hospital called Mill Road in Tuebrook! Knocked down now though!

I never tire of visiting Liverpool. It always had plenty to interest me, but there's always something new to see too...! It's so much more 'visual' than most of the UK's other big cities. It's definitely got a transatlantic feel - everybody says that - but, I swear, there's even a touch of India about it's orange sunset skylines too...!
