As my University town I will always have a soft spot for Preston, and thank its people in providing me such opportunities. The warmth and friendliness of the people and the pride they show in this big little city is unlike any other in the UK. See you at the next Guild.

Hello there,is that Graham Read of NZ?  This is Bob T. from Vancouver Canada. -  I too was at RAF StEval from '51 - '53.  Graham Read was kind enough to chauffeur me around the countryside when we met up at The Bay Hotel, Newquay, for the RAF StEval reunion of April,2005.  We visited a few places we were both familiar with, sufficient to quench the thirst of nostalgia.  Cornwall is a wonderful place to be, - particularly in the spring. I spent some of the happiest days of my teenage life in Cornwall, & will carry forever the memories of those carefree days walking the cliff tops & sandy bays along the north coast from StEval to Newquay, absorbing all the beauty it had to offer. It has not lost its magic, because I felt the same emotions consuming me 55yrs later on my last visit.

I'd love to visit Kent: the landscape is so marvellous!

York is the most beautiful city in the world, in my opinion. It provides fantastic scenery, architecture, history, entertainment for all ages and tastes, community spirit, friendly people, central commuting route to London, Edinburgh and the West and a great life style. I lived in York for 12 years, now living in Australia, but no matter where I live, York will always be home. Seeing these photographs makes me realise how much I miss York and Plunkets my favourite restaurant in the world!
